Day Two - Adventures on the Way

Mary Ruedinger

Off to Lake Eyasi for some culture. We met with the Wahadzabe tribe , otherwise known as the bushman. We learned ( and tried to learn a few new tricks) how they hunt, and gather food to survive. The woman make carvings and beaded jewelry too. Then on to the Datoga tribe who are blacksmiths. We watched the masters thru demonstration! The metal jewelry and arrows they made were beautiful. We also tried our hand at milling corn (pardon the pun) too. They are master recyclers as they use recycled metals! Also one picture is a view from our lodge. Enjoy!
